First against the wall when the revolution comes

This story about rich people getting free stuff makes me think of nothing so much as an old Saturday Night Live sketch. Eddie Murphy was made up to be a white man, and when he went out into the world was amazed to find that there was a giant conspiracy among white people where they didn't have to pay for anything ever, at least not so long as there were no non-white people around. Winks all around. Clearly the way it really works is that you have to be green, not white. Creepy. Because, after all, who needs free stuff more than rich people. I think I'll have to keep track of what's being pimped and make sure I don't buy it. (via Dan Gillmor)

Great analogy, I loved that skit and you're right that's exactly what this feels like. VC's and the like live in a weird little bubble in Silicon Valley.

I have seen the future - and it is TINC! I look at soooo many sites. This is a face-slap of fresh.

What is Missouri, how can I look at it, how come you are so clever, yada yada.

Oh, yeah, the topic: The rich get richer. So what else is new. Ain't capitalism grand.

highest regards, & my eyeballs thank you too, zo

What do you mean there is no cat?

"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat."

- Albert Einstein, explaining radio
